I have not been but hear great things from folks that have visited Cuba. I have visited many other islands in the area stay away from Haiti . I would go and see Cuba now as most everyone thinks the tourist areas will rapidly change and not in a good way.

The other islands will be more expensive, rum will not be as good, it is the same sun and sand. Food should be better quality on the other islands but if you take a cruise you are most likely eating on board anyway.
Survival Actions I need to do NOW to live another 5 minutes to 3 days. Prepping What I do to insure my family makes it thru an adverse event lasting 3 days to 3 months Seeds and livestock What you need for long term subsistence.

Dang listening to yall expound on Cuber got to be better than anything on Nat Geo. Anthony Bourdain does a pretty good show on it. Looks interesting. I only been on one cruise which nearly drove me nuts....and we dont do airplanes...so doubt we will see it in person. Heard they have some some cute hookers who work cheap..but aint sure about that. Heard the military runs all the high dollar restaurants and hotels. Should be pretty safe.

I did a Disney cruise once because I categorically refused to do Disney World, my husband offered me something in exchange that I couldn't refuse. A cruise is a trap that you can't escape, if you like that sort of thing.

Well we had a freebie three day deal through where the Warden worked. It go from DFW to Purta Rikker..then you get on the boat and see some virgin islands..and come back in a day or two. Highly boring. All I could figure out to do was drink. Now she did hit 400 bucks on a slot machine in the Casino. That was a bright spot of the trip. The food was nothing to brag on. I would not not take another free one let alone buy one.

My dad stopped there on the way to Africa during WWII. He always spoke fondly of it and wanted to visit later in life. I'm sure its wildly different then the early 1940's. I remember him talking about a bar in Havana that had babe ruths' first pay check on the wall. I'm not a big sports collector (at all a sports collector) but bet that is worth a fortune today.

Anybody know if Cuba is worth a visit? I've always wanted to go to Bermuda for the history and stories a friend who grew up there told but Cuba sounds intriguing. Bermuda is probably longer than we can be away but Cuba,,, that or Cozamel is do-able this year.

I've only been on one cruise and expected to be disappointed but after acclimating to having so many people around found that I loved the hell out of it. Got to admit that the 1st day with so many people yabbering around me made me want to bolt to a corner but after a day I loved the cruise we did to the Bahamas.

So the question is... is Cuba worth visiting? Do the virgins in Cuba really roll the cigars on their thighs?

Went on a cruise. We had cots on the hanger deck to sleep on. Aircraft taking off and land were worst than artillery . Wife and I rejected cruise ship long ago. The bike is a lot more fun. For us.

As cruise ship vacations go I love them. No searching for a hotel or restaurant. See all the cool sites at various stops. Faster then my boat and a lot more comfortable too; plus they don't have me or my beloved cooking to enjoy. Their food rocks. Late next summer I would be on my boat going by that area but never thought about stopping in a private craft at Cuba. I'd do it on a cruise ship though.
